Charlie Drotar Rebuys, Knocks Out Five, and Wins the Biggest WSOP Pool Yet
Nine players and $470 — more than twice what this series was worth two years ago.
Nine players and three rebuys made $470 on Friday, comfortably the largest prize pool the World Series of Parker has assembled. Charlie Drotar bought back in early, made five of the eleven eliminations, and won $235 of it.
It is his second WSOP win, after the Stud event he split with Andrew Shier in 2021, and his first outright one.
Paul Coffman rebought too and finished second for $145, in only the second WSOP event he has played. Lee Ugarte made three knockouts and took third and $90.

The undercard
Andrew Shier bubbled in fourth, one place off the money after finishing second in January. Lance Cain was fifth and Angela Cain sixth.
Sean Denny played his first WSOP event and finished seventh. Eric Denny, who won the opener, went eighth of nine.
The bigger picture
The money is the number to watch. The first WSOP event ever played, in June 2017, made $145 from six players at $25 a head. Friday made $470 from nine at $40, and the winner took more than that whole 2017 pool.
Two events, two winners. Charlie Drotar leads the table on 59.20 from Eric Denny on 48.33 and Andrew Shier on 47.33, with three Omaha nights still to play.
