Ten tournaments played, and Sean Denny has cashed in five of them. Half. It is a small sample, but only two players in the whole database have ever cashed at a higher rate over ten tournaments or more.

The near miss came at WSOP 4-3 in June 2025 — runner-up in an eight-player field, one hand from a World Series of Parker win in only his third start in the series.

In the Eight Deuce league he has finished fourth four times: #45 in May 2025, #56 in June 2026, #57 in July, and #58 in August for $160. That last one came with five knockouts — more than the man who won the tournament managed. His biggest payday is $195, from #56.

Three straight fourth-place finishes to close out the summer of 2026 is the sort of run that usually ends with somebody breaking through. He has 16 knockouts from those ten starts and $740 in career prize money.

He has not won one yet. Three years in, with a sample this small, what the record shows is a player who keeps arriving at the business end of tournaments. The rest of it tends to follow.
