Scott Dishong Wins His Second in Sixteen Starts
Josh Reel knocked out half the field and lost heads-up to a man who knocked out two.
Scott Dishong won the first Canterberry Poker League tournament he ever entered, in June 2012. Twenty-six months later he has won his second — three hours and fifty-two minutes, $85, and two knockouts all night.
Two was enough because the man doing the damage could not finish. Josh Reel knocked out five of the ten players who had to go — half the field — and then lost a thirteen-minute heads-up match. He took $45 for second.
Eric Denny was third for $20 with two knockouts, and Rick Mazza completed the money in fourth for $15, a second cash in the two tournaments he has played this season.

The undercard
Mike McEvoy bubbled in fifth, put out by Skippy — one of only two men he had to remove all evening. Rick Mickaliger was the first player out after an hour and thirty-one minutes, knocked out by Duane Barone, who then went out ninth himself.
The bigger picture
Three tournaments, three different winners, and between them they hold fourteen league wins — eight for Josh, four for David Doole, and now two for Skippy.
Josh Reel leads the standings on 91 points from three starts, eighteen clear of Doole, who has played two. Skippy sits seventh on 50 from his single appearance.
